This website allows you to help shape the future of Blackburn with Darwen by getting involved in the Vision 2030 project.

Vision 2030 asks residents what they hope life will be like in the borough in 20 years' time . 

Do you hope the borough will be centre of educational excellence with a world renowned university? Do you want it to be a hub of cutting edge businesses? Would you like it be viewed as the garden of the North West with award winning green spaces?  Should our musical talent or food become famous nationwide? 

These questions and more are being asked as part of the project which will be taking place in the next few months. The central theme is how residents see borough now as well how they see the Blackburn with Darwen in the future.

The project will end in the development of a vision for 2030 and will direct the work of the Council and its partners in the next few years.

Vision 2030 will see the Council speaking to residents of all ages and backgrounds, businesses, visitors and community groups.

This website has discussion forums where some of the issues that will feed in the vision will be talked about. Of course, there are always going to be plenty of issues that affect residents such as litter, congestion, health etc. But what Blackburn with Darwen Council and its partners are  really looking  for is to hear residents' aspirations and hopes. So let your imaginations run and make sure your voice is heard to shape the future of our borough .
